The Japanese Studies Program presents an undergraduate educational curriculum designed to offer students the opportunity to attain comprehensive proficiency in Japanese. This field of study, Japanese Studies, extends beyond the confines of Japanese language and literature, encompassing a wide array of subjects related to Japan, such as philosophy, politics, sociology, history, and Japanese culture.

Vision Mission and Objectives

The vision for the Japanese Studies program is established: to become a center for cultivating independent, innovative Japanese studies (encompassing Japanese language, literature, and culture) that stands as a leader on both the national and international stage. This pursuit is grounded in humanistic principles and guided by religious morals.
The Japanese Studies program’s missions are as follows:

  1. Provide academic education in Japanese studies (linguistics, literature, and Japanese culture) through contemporary learning technologies that stimulate and facilitate students to attain high academic prowess and competitive skills.
  2. Develop and manage the Japanese Studies study program in a professional manner, aligned with the satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Disseminate expertise in the Japanese field (language, literature, and culture) to the public.
  4. Generate innovative, interdisciplinary scholarly works centered around Japanese studies (encompassing Japanese language, literature, and culture).
  5. Foster the development of graduates who possess Japanese field expertise applicable in business, public service, and broader community contexts.
  6. Contribute to the promotion of cooperation between Indonesia and Japan.
