In a world of rapid change and evolving dynamics, the Faculty of Humanities at Universitas Airlangga has charted an ambitious course for the future. This journey is marked by an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the intricacies of the human experience. As we set sail towards the horizon of the Research Master Plan for 2022-2026, we find ourselves guided by a profound understanding of the intricate web of cultural forces at play.<\/p>\n

A Continuum of Cultural Forces<\/b><\/p>\n

The foundation of our approach lies in recognizing the continuous series that connects five fundamental elements: Production, Consumption, Regulation, Representation, and Identity. These elements are not isolated; they intertwine, influence one another, and collectively shape the complex fabric of our society. It’s important to understand that ‘Production’ here isn’t limited to the creation of physical objects but encompasses the entirety of human cultural practices and expressions.<\/p>\n

A Framework for Exploration<\/b><\/p>\n

Our roadmap for crafting the Research Master Plan is grounded in a holistic framework that draws from a wealth of sources:<\/p>\n

1. Faculty of Humanities Scientific Field<\/b>

4. National Research Master Plan (RIRN) 2017-2045<\/b>

5. Universitas Airlangga Research Master Plan 2017-2021<\/b>
– Our university’s research blueprint informs our endeavors, ensuring that our work is in harmony with the broader institutional goals.<\/p>\n

6. Stuart Hall Cultural Circuit<\/b>
– We take inspiration from the profound insights of Stuart Hall, recognizing that cultural elements are interconnected in a vast circuit. This understanding guides our exploration of these elements’ intricate relationships.<\/p>\n
